Database Browser

The Database Browser gives you a visual interface to explore your database — tables, views, column schemas, constraints, and row data — without leaving your development environment.

Supported Databases

DatabaseDriver PackageConnection
SQLitebetter-sqlite3Read-only file connection
PostgreSQLpgConnection via DATABASE_URL
MySQL / MariaDBmysql2Connection via DATABASE_URL

Table List

The left sidebar shows all tables and views in your database. Each entry shows:

  • Table or view name (monospace font)
  • Row count

Click any table name to load its schema and data.

Schema Inspector

The schema panel shows every column in the selected table:

ColumnDescription
#Column index
Column NameWith 🔑 icon for primary keys
Data TypeSQLite type, PostgreSQL type, or MySQL type
ConstraintsPRIMARY KEY, UNIQUE, NOT NULL, NULLABLE badges
DefaultDefault value expression or — if none

Example for a users table:

typescript
# Column Name Data Type Constraints Default
1 id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY —
2 email TEXT NOT NULL UNIQUE —
3 name TEXT NOT NULL —
4 role TEXT NOT NULL 'user'
5 is_active INTEGER NOT NULL 1
6 created_at TEXT NOT NULL datetime('now')

Data Grid

Below the schema, the data grid shows paginated row data.

Cell Formatting

ValueDisplay
NULLItalic grey NULL label
true / falseGreen true or red false
NumbersBlue monospace
DatesTeal monospace
Long stringsTruncated at 80 chars with …

Pagination

The data grid paginates at 50 rows per page. Navigation controls appear at the bottom:

typescript
Showing 1 – 50 of 1,204 rows [ ‹ ] [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ › ]

Click page numbers or arrows to navigate.

Search and Filter

Use the Filter tables input at the top of the sidebar to search table names. The list updates instantly as you type.

Export CSV

Click the Export CSV button in the data card header to download the current page of data as a .csv file.

typescript
users.csv downloaded (50 rows)

Views

Database views appear in the table list with a VIEW badge instead of TABLE. They are queryable in the same way as tables.

Indexes

Click the Indexes sub-tab at the top of the Database panel to see all indexes:

Index NameTableColumnsType
idx_users_emailusers(email)UNIQUE
idx_posts_authorposts(author_id)INDEX

Info

Index data is available for PostgreSQL and MySQL. SQLite index introspection is limited to what PRAGMA index_list returns.
